Project Overview

DrawStory.ai is an AI-powered storyboarding tool built for filmmakers, directors, and video production teams. The platform takes a script as input and generates structured, production-ready storyboards in seconds — dramatically reducing the time and cost of pre-production for creative projects at any scale.

Narek, the founder, brought me in because the product had outgrown its own website. New features were being added, a new enterprise tier, a growing and expanding user base — but the website wasn't keeping pace, still selling an earlier, smaller version of the company. The project began initially in Framer, then in Webflow as the platform entered new phases of growth — calling for a full redesign across multiple pages, with a clear focus on scalability, content management independence, and conversion performance.

Objectives

  • Redesign the website to accurately reflect the platform's current capabilities and maturity

  • Build a scalable, CMS-driven site that the team could manage and update independently after handoff

  • Introduce dedicated pages for core features and the new enterprise offering

  • Improve and sharpen conversion performance through better structure, messaging hierarchy, and micro-interactions — not just looks

  • Keep it fast and responsive everywhere — across desktop, tablet, and mobile

The Challenge

DrawStory's core challenge was a mismatch between product and presentation. The platform had grown more capable and more ambitious, but the website still reflected an earlier, less mature version of what it could actually do. Visitors — particularly potential enterprise clients and investors — were landing on a site that undersold the product.

Compounding this, the platform itself was still evolving during the design and development phase with new features, updated pricing structures, and revised positioning being shipped in continuously, which meant the site had to be designed to move with it, not just launch once and freeze.

My Responsibilities

  • Full homepage restructure — layout, content hierarchy, hero section, and conversion flow

  • Dedicated pages for core product capabilities

  • Enterprise section: a dedicated page targeting studio and production company clients

  • Pricing page redesign to reflect the updated tier structure clearly and cleanly

  • CMS architecture — testimonials, feature cards, and blog content.

  • Micro-interactions and scroll animations, implemented selectively to support the product narrative

  • Responsive optimization across all pages and devices

Approach & Process

This wasn't a paint job — it was a structural rebuild. The first priority was information architecture: mapping what different users — individual filmmakers versus enterprise production teams — needed to know, and in what order, since the homepage had just few seconds to speak to the two distinct audiences with different decision-making criteria.

Everything content-heavy was built on Webflow's CMS, so the team could update features, testimonials, blog posts, and marketing contents themselves from day one.

Motion was used sparingly, added selectively to enhance storytelling and communicate the platform's speed and intelligence — every animation earned its place by guiding attention, reinforcing a value claim, or making the experience feel alive — not just decorating the page. The aim was polished, not busy.

Outcome

DrawStory launched with a site that matched the ambition and capability of the product behind it — ambitious, current, and built with a CMS-driven architecture that gives the team full autonomy to keep the site current as the platform continued to evolve.

The restructured homepage, refined feature pages, and dedicated enterprise section positioned DrawStory credibly for both individual creators and larger production clients — giving the team a site they could confidently show to investors, press, and new users.
